In 1959 Oswald and Gladys Vannucci purchased the property from the Pennsylvania Electric Co. The Point View Inn is truly one of Deep Creek’s most treasured memories for several reasons. Of all the restaurants on the lake, Point View had the best view. Many realtors took their customers to the Inn for lunch and to enjoy the view. Jim Railey Sr. was there almost daily and was said to have his office there. Regardless, it was the view that closed many deals for people looking for a second home.
