Did you know that the DCL 100th Committee has put together a Time Capsule? Read more…

As we celebrate 100 years of memories, magic, and mountain air at Deep Creek Lake, the Centennial Time Capsule offers a rare chance to leave your mark on history. Whether it’s a heartfelt letter, a favorite photo, or a quirky souvenir that screams “2025,” we’re inviting you to help capture the spirit of our community for future generations. Tucked away until 2125, this capsule will become a treasure chest of local pride, humor, and shared experiences—preserving what we love most about Deep Creek Lake. Don’t miss the chance to be part of the story!

By participating in our Exploration Ticket program, you’ll have a chance to contribute to the time capsule!  There will be a different letter for each month of the year—when you visit an event during that month, you’ll be able to punch your ticket with that letter.  Visit an event every month, and you’ll spell a secret website leading you to an exclusive invitation to contribute to the time capsule we’ll seal at the end of the year! Find the event listing and more information on the Centennial at https://dcl100.com/events/

First United Bank & Trust

Thank you to our Sponsor First United Bank and Trust!

Celebrating 125 years of service, First United Bank & Trust  is proud to also celebrate a century of Deep Creek Lake — a place that holds a special place in our hearts and history.

In May 1963, First United opened their Lake Community Office right on the water’s edge, famously called America’s First Banking by Boat Office. 🚤 With dock space for “sail-in” customers, they brought banking to the lake in a way no one had seen before!

From lakeside memories to community milestones, First United Bank & Trust is honored to have been part of Deep Creek Lake’s journey for generations. Here’s to 100 years of lake life and 125 years of trusted service.

Visit their booth to learn more about their services.
