We are creating multiple long-term projects for the Centennial that will continue on past 2025 to help everyone remember what makes Deep Creek Lake so special and remind us to protect us for years to come!

Interpretive Panels – A series of over 20 new signs all around the lake proving information on the history, science and heritage of the lake. 

Educational Activities –  The DCL100 Committee made local student educational activities on Deep Creek Lake one of its top priorities for the 100th-anniversary celebrations. 

Design Contests – Design a new Flag & Pennant and/or Poster celebrating Deep Creek Lake’s rich history!

Time Capsule – We’ll collect items and documents throughout the year and seal them in a time capsule to be opened in 2125!
