Tom and Sara Kuhn have been entertaining children of all ages at Funland Family amusement center and arcade, located at Deep Creek Lake. In 1971 they bought four acres of land in McHenry to build the amusement. Tom said they drained the swamp and used fill dirt to improve the property. Originally, they had a go-cart track, an open-air arcade, and added a miniature golf course the following year.
