Bobby’s was a true watering hole located on Deep Creek Drive on the lake side, across from the Sun Place Town Homes. It was owned by Bobby and Margie Oliverio. The bar set very close to the edge of the lake on a gently sloping lot, not much above the water level. The beautiful lawn going down to the water’s edge was a perfect place to enjoy your beverage while looking out across the lake to Marsh Mountain, the current WISP ski area. Picnics in the summer were a regular on Sunday afternoon. Beer sales were prohibited on Sunday; however, the practice was to go in on Saturday and buy a case of beer, then ask Bobby to put it in the cooler and you would pick it up Sunday afternoon for the picnic.
