In 1978 Ralph Romano purchased the property that had been the Cabin Lodge property before it burned. At that time the property was still owned by Louise Fry (widow). Ralph built and opened a road side stand and sold ice cream and sandwiches. Ralph retained Chubby’s for two years and in 1980 sold it to Lakeside Commercial Properties LLC to become the Lakeside Creamery.
