Deep Creek Lodge
Deep Creek Lodge was at the location of Ski Harbor Townhomes but in the beginning, it was just a beautiful spot with gentle slopes into the water. It was originally purchased from Youghiogheny Hydro-Electric by Frank Page in 1928 and with the construction of a lodge by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the 1930’s the property was used as a boy’s camp. In 1958 it became the Deep Creek Lodge restaurant and bar. Being on the north end of the lake it was frequented by many blue-collar people from mills in and around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
