At the “Y” intersection of Rt. 219 and Rt. 42, just north of McHenry is where the Four Winds was located. It was a family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring home cooking and carry-out service. The restaurant was most likely built by Olia Ortiz VanSickle circa 1969. The lot was small, and it shared a septic system and drain field located on the adjacent 1.68 acre, also owned by Olia Catherine VanSickle.
Through the years the restaurant changed hands several times.
