In 1972 Dan and Mary Ingram, who lived in Baltimore, decided to return to Garrett County and purchase a restaurant in the building on Rt. 219 across from Glendale Road at the lake. They opened Ingram’s Edge of the Lake Restaurant and was run by the family of 10 consisting of six boys, two girls and Mom and Dad.
