The Silver Tree started as Nemacolin Lodge constructed in the 1940’s using logs and stone found on the property. Ted and Celeste Lascaris purchased the property in 1974 in the name of Alpine Village. Finally, after a lot of long and hard work, the restaurant opened in April 1976 as the Silver Tree and remained open every day for dinner for 23 years.
