The Fireside Deli and Wine Shop as we know it today has gone through several names and menus since Ed Browning opened it as a bar in 1982. It then became BJ Whistlers in 1984, then the Gast Haus, a German restaurant in 1992. In 2004, the location reopened as the Fireside Wine Shop. It is now the Lake & Lure Country Store.
