Tasker’s Tavern and Pawn Run Saloon
At the site of today’s Pawn Run Saloon, in 1958 Albert Tasker and his wife Edna Blanche Tasker purchased the ground from Kenneth A. Layman and his wife Virginia A. Layman. The tavern was already on the property prior to the transfer and was called Tasker’s Tavern. Over many ownership changes, it was renamed the Pawn Run Saloon in 1982 and is thought to be the oldest continuously operating bar at the lake.
